Millard F. “Sonny” Cranch

 

Sonny Cranch co-founded Cranch-Hardy in 1973 after managing another Baton Rouge agency for three years.  Reared in New Orleans, he is a 1967 graduate of LSU where he earned his B.S. degree in International Trade and Finance. Following college, he served for three years as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Micronesia.

 

Sonny is recognized by clients and peers alike for his overall knowledge of marketing, market research analysis, advertising, public relations, promotion, production and business management, as well as his creativity and script writing ability.

 

Sonny has directed the development and implementation of successful marketing communications programs for a diverse range of local, regional, national and international clients.  They include retailers, chemical manufacturers, industrial suppliers and construction companies, public utilities, political candidates, computer software developers, aviation companies, financial institutions and regional law firms and government agencies.

 

Sonny has also been active in community affairs, volunteering his time to numerous non-profit organizations.  In addition to serving on  boards ranging from the Chamber of Commerce to the Symphony, he is also a member of the advisory committee of the Academia Alfonsiana in Rome , Italy which is the graduate school of Moral Theology attached to the Pontifical Lateran University.  He is also a regular guest lecturer at
LSU’s Manship School of Mass Communications.
